WE'VE BEEN BUSY HERE. WE KICKED OFF THE TIGER FOOTBALL SEASON WITH KINDERGARTEN KICK OFF TAILGATE. THERE WAS FOOD, MUSIC, FUN AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS AND KINDERGARTENS TO SIGN UP FOR DOLLARS FOR COLLEGE SAVINGS PLAN.

THE EVENT WAS GEARED TOWARD ENCOURAGING PARENTS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE COLLEGE SAVINGS PLAN TOW STUDENT CAN BE READY ACADEMICALLY AND FINANCIALLY BY THE TIME THEY GRADUATE IN 2034. THE EVENING WAS A SUCCESS WITH MORE THAN 40 PARENT SIGNING UP AND WE ENDED THE EVENING BY ALLOWING THE KINDERGARTEN TO RUN OUT ON THE FIELD BEFORE THE FOOTBALL GAME.

AND MYSELF AND DR. PERERA AND DR. JACKSON WERE THERE FOR 15 MINUTES WITH THE KIDS AND THAT WAS ENOUGH FOR US.

PRESCRIPTION PAL HILL IMPLEMENTS THE HOUSE SYSTEM ON HER CAMPUS TO BUILD A SENSE OF BELONGING FOR HER STUDENT AND ADD IN FRIENDLY COMPETITION ALONG WITH ACCOUNTABILITY. STUDENT GATHERED OUTSIDE TO REFUSE IS BALLOON FILLED WITH COLOR LANN YARD.

BY THE END OF THE WEEK, THE STUDENT WERE WELL VERSED IN COLLEGE PREPAREDNESS. EACH DAY OF THE WEEK WE HAD SPECIAL EVENTS INCLUDING A HUGE, HUGE COLLEGE FAIR AT LANN COSTAR HIGH SCHOOL AT MORE THAN 40 COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES AND IT WAS A GREAT EVENT.

THIS ENTIRE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER HAS BEEN DEDICATED TO PROMOTING THE IMPORTANCE OF SCHOOL ATTENDANCE.

CAMPUSES HAVE PLACED SPECIAL MESSAGES ON MARQUEES AND SHOW THE IMPORTANCE OF ATTENDING SCHOOL EACH DAY.

DIBELLY THEY CELEBRATED ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH BY AWARDING THOSE WHO COMPETED IN ESSAY WRITING COMTES. MY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE IN COVID WORLD. THEY WERE ASKED TO ELABORATE. YESTERDAY THE CONTEST WINNERS GWC AND LANCASTER MIDDLE AND AWARDED BY THE CITY OF LANCASTER FOR THEIR -- FOR RIDING THE ACTUAL ESSAY AND PLACING FIRST AND SECOND IN THE ESSAY CONTEST. WE WANT TO CONGRATULATE TO HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANCE OF SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AND LIKE TO THANK DONNA MITCHELL FOR SPEARHEADING THE INITIATIVES WITH OUR ANTI TRUANCY INITIATIVE THAT WE DO

GOOD EVENING BOARD PRESIDENT HAMILTON DISTINGUISHED MEMBERS OF THE BOARD DR. PERERA AND SUPERINTENDENT. I WANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT SOME OPERATIONS UPDATE. ACTUALLY THE FIST ONE I WANT TO START WITH THE BOARD ROOM UPGRADES.

THE PARTS THAT WE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE IN TIME TO COMPLETE THE BOARD ROOM UPGRADE AND TIME FOR THIS MEETING, WE FOUND OUT RECENTLY WILL NOT ARRIVE UNTIL AFTER PRIOR TO DECEMBER.

THIS BACKLOG IS DUE TO INTERNATIONAL SHORTAGE IN CHIP COMPONENTS WHICH ARE INDEPENDENT THAT GALL PART OF THE EQUIVALENT USED. THE DISTRICT WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH SWAGIT AND AUDIO VENDOR AS PROMOTE TO PROVIDE QUALITY VIDEO PRESENTATIONS AND STREAMING SERVICES UNTIL ALL NECESSARY PARTS ARE HERE TO DO THE UPGRADE AND ARE INSTALLED. HOWEVER, I DO PLEDGE TO YOU COMPLETION DATE THAT IS DONE CORRECTLY WITH HIGH QUALITY AND WITHIN THE BUDGET THAT THIS BOARD APPROVED.

I BELIEVE THAT STRUCTURAL ENGINEER REPORT IS IN YOUR PACKET. THE ENGINEER DETERMINED THAT THE CAPSTONES FAILED BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED ON THE WALL OF THE COLISEUM.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER RECOMMEND REPLACING THE EXISTING CAST STONES WITH ANOTHER MATERIAL OR CAT STONES THAT ARE PROPERLY ANCHORED.

THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT WE ENGAGE THE WATERPROOFING CONSULTANT TO EVALUATE THE WATERPROOFING AND THE FLASHING CONDITIONS DUE TO WATER AND FILTRATION, EVIDENCE IN THE BUILDING AND UNDER THE CANOPY. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THIS BE DONE PRIOR TO REINSTALLING ANY NEW MATERIALS. THIS IS AGAIN A PICTURE OF WHAT THAT BUILDING LOOKS LIKE.

THOSE STONE AT THE BOTTOM FORM A U-SHAPE AROUND THE COLISEUM AND ESSENTIALLY WE'RE SAYING WE HAVE TO REMOVE ALL OF THOSE REMAINING CAT STONES BEFORE WE CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS REPORT ALSO INDICATED THAT OUR CANOPY ROOF DECK WAS DAMAGED WHEN HE HAD CAT STONE FOLLOW UPON THAT CANOPY AND THAT THE CANOPY ITSELF WILL NEED REPAIR OR PARTIAL REPLACEMENT. WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS? ENGAGE WATERPROOFING CONSULTANT FOR RECOMMENDATION. WE'VE DONE THAT.

WE'RE EXPECTING THE WATERPROOFING CONSULTANT REPORT ANY DAY. WE ARE NEXT GOING TO SEEK COMPETITIVE BIDS TO COMPARE THE COST OF REMOVING THE REMAINING CAT STONES AND REPLACING THEM WITH NEW CAT STONES THAT ARE PROPERLY ANCHORED VERSES REMOVING THE REMAINING CAT STONES AND REPLACING IT WITH DIFFERENT MATERIAL. ONE OPTION WOULD BE TO INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE CAT STONES BACK THERE, IS TO JUST BRING THAT WALL DOWN NATURALLY TO INTEGRATE WITH THE UPPER TIERS OF THE WALL. THE DISTRICT DID ISSUE THE RFQ SEPTEMBER 7, 2021, THE DEADLINE OF 2:00 PM ON ON SEPTEMBER 22.

RECEIVED THREE APPLICATIONS AND THEY WERE EVALUATED BY AN EVALUATION COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF MYSELF, CHIEF OF OPERATIONS, MR. THOMAS AS OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, OUR MAINTENANCE AND GROUNDS SUPERVISOR, A CERTIFIED STAFF MEMBER.

EACH RFQ WAS EVALUATED BASED ON THE CRITERIA CONTAINED IN THE RFQ, THE RESULTS ACTUALLY NOT ON THIS TABLE THAT I AM ABOUT TO SHOW YOU, INSTEAD IN YOUR FOLDERS IN A PACKET.

THAT HAS THE SCORING ON THE CRITERIA ALONG WITH SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE SECOND PAGE.

SO OF THESE THREE APPLICANTS WE HAD THE FIRM, EMA, E3 IS THE SELECTED VENDOR RECOMMENDED BY THE EVALUATION COMMITTEE.

SO RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THAT YOU WOULD APPROVE THIS VENDOR BASED UPON THE PROCESS THAT WE WENT THROUGH IN ORDER TO SELECT THE VENDOR. SHOULD YOU WISH TO CRUISE ON INFORMATION ON THE SELECTED VENDOR I HAVE ATTACHED A SECOND PAGE THAT GIVES YOU INFORMATION.
