THIS ORDER IS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY AND WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2021.

I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A PHENOMENAL GROUP OF THIRD, FOURTH, AND FIFTH GRADE TEACHERS IN REGARDS TO DIFFERENTIATING INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES IN MATHEMATICS.

UM, IT WAS A MIXED METHODS STUDY THAT, UM, PROVIDED SOME, UM, QUALITATIVE FEEDBACK, AS WELL AS, UM, DESEGREGATING THE DATA FROM THE ASSESSMENTS, THE FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS THAT WAS TAKEN, AND THE GRADES THAT THE STUDENTS WERE PRODUCING EVERY NINE WEEKS.

AND WHAT I FOUND THROUGHOUT THAT PARTICULAR STUDY WAS, UH, THAT MANY TEACHERS DID NOT KNOW SPECIFIC THINGS THAT WE THOUGHT THEY KNEW.

AND THROUGH THAT PARTICULAR STUDY, WE WAS ABLE TO FORM A COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE IT WAS A LEARNING PROCESS.

AND WE WERE TAKING THOSE STRATEGIES BACK TO OUR STUDENTS IN REAL TIME AND WORKING ON THOSE STRATEGIES AND WE SAW SOME GREAT RESULTS.

UM, THE REASON WHY, UM, REDISTRICTING IS SO IMPORTANT IS THE, UH, THE IDEA THAT EVERYBODY'S VOTE SHOULD COUNT AS MUCH AS ANOTHER PERSON'S VOTE.

SO IF YOUR, UM, DISTRICTS FOR YOUR, UM, BOARD OF TRUSTEE ELECTIONS, IF WE GET, UM, ONE DISTRICT THAT HAS A LARGER POPULATION SIZE THAN ANOTHER POPULATION SIZE, AND IF THOSE POPULATIONS, UM, BECOME SKEWED IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, OR, UM, BECOMES, UM, A OR THE POPULATION GROWS SO MUCH, THAT'S, UM, THE DISTRICTS CANNOT VOTES IN A WAY THAT IS REPRESENTATIVE OF THAT DISTRICT.

THEN, UM, IT'S IMPORTANT FOR US TO GO THROUGH AND LOOK AT THE POPULATION SIZE AND START LOOKING, UH, ALMOST SOMETIMES HOUSE BY HOUSE.

HOW CAN WE MOVE THESE LINES TO MAKE SURE THAT'S IN THE END, WE HAVE DISTRICTS THAT ARE, UM, ARE FAIR AND EQUITABLE, THAT THEY ARE EQUAL IN SIZE, AND THAT STILL THEY REPRESENT THE VALUES OF THE BOARD AND VALUES OF THE COMMUNITY.

THIS IS A PROCESS THAT'LL TAKE, UM, PROBABLY YOU'LL SEE US AT AT LEAST THREE OTHER BOARD MEETINGS AT THE VERY LEAST, UM, IF OR THROUGH ZOOM, HOWEVER Y'ALL WANT IT REALLY Y'ALL ARE THE BOSS OF ME, BUT, UM, THE FIRST BOARD MEETING YOU'LL, UM, LOOK AT THE, UH, REDISTRICTING, UM, KIND OF GOALS, GUIDELINES THAT YOU'RE GOING TO BE WORKING WITHIN.

UM, THEN WE WILL BE HELPING WITH CREATING, UM, MAPS AND WORKING IN CREATING INFORMATION FOR YOUR COMMUNITIES AND BRINGING IN, UM, ASKING FOR, UM, DISCUSSION AND INPUT FROM STAKEHOLDERS IN YOUR COMMUNITY, AND REALLY TRYING TO MAKE SURE THAT THAT INFORMATION AND THE DISCUSSIONS ARE OPEN AND CLEAR FOR YOUR COMMUNITY SO THAT THERE IS LESS CHANCE THAT, UH, ANYBODY MIGHT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE REDISTRICTING AFTER IT HAS HAPPENED.

SO, AND THAT WAS FOR EQUALIZATION TO ENSURE, BECAUSE ON THAT LARGE.

SO FOR THE, UH, AUDIENCE, THEY WILL KNOW, UH, THERE WAS A CATEGORY TO NOT, UH, COULD NOT BE REPRESENTED.

AND WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE STAFF THAT ARE COMMUNICATING THAT CAN DO THAT ADEQUATELY.

SOME OF THE HARDEST TO FEEL AREAS ARE FOR BILINGUAL SPECIAL EDUCATION, SECONDARY MATH, SCIENCE, SECONDARY ELR, AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHERS, COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AND EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAMS ARE PRODUCING FEWER CANDIDATES EACH YEAR, PRIMARILY DUE TO LOW SALARIES.

UH, COVID-19 HAS HAD AN IMPACT ON THE TEACHER SHORTAGE, UM, WITH THE VIRTUAL LEARNING AND ALL OF THE THINGS THAT TEACHERS HAD TO IMPLEMENT, UH, TEACHING HAS BECOME MORE STRESSFUL DUE TO THE PANDEMIC AND TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS DO AGREE THAT INCREASED PAY WOULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE ON TEACHER RETENTION.

THE CLASSROOM INSTRUCTOR POSITION WOULD ALLOW US TO HIRE CANDIDATES ENROLLED IN THE EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAM, BUT NOT GET ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THEIR CERTIFICATION.

SO THE CLASSROOM INSTRUCTOR WOULD BE PAID A SALARY OF 50,000, WHICH IS COMPARABLE TO A TEACHER SALARY.

UM, YET THEY HAVE THE INCENTIVE TO EARN THEIR TEACHING CERTIFICATE IN ORDER TO GET THAT TEACHER SALARY.

AND THEY WOULD BE OFFERED A LETTER OF INSURANCE.

PARENTS WOULD BE NOTIFIED THAT THEIR CHILD WOULD RECEIVE INSTRUCTION FROM A NON-CERTIFIED TEACHER.

THE CLASSROOM INSTRUCTORS WILL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE TRAINING FROM THE TEACHERS ON SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT.

AT LANCASTER HIGH SCHOOL, THE STONES BROKE TWO PANES OF GLASS.

HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

WE BOARDED UP THE PAINS ACTUALLY ON A THURSDAY, THE FIFTH, WE CONTACTED A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE TIPS.

CO-OPERATIVE TIP STANDS FOR THE INNER LOCAL PURCHASING SYSTEM.

AND IT IS DEEMED TO BE A COMPETITIVE CONTRACT.

IF A VENDOR IS UNDER, UH, UH, TIPS, WE, UH, CONTACTED THEM TO PROVIDE US WITH, UH, AN ASSESSMENT OF THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE BUILDING AND TO PROVIDE A QUOTE TO RESTORE THE FACILITY.

THE DISTRICT CLOSED THE COLISEUM, UH, UNTIL THE REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE AND WE ARE INSTALLING A FENCE AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE UH, ENTRANCE TO THE COLISEUM TO ENSURE THAT, UH, THERE IS NO INJURY, UH, FROM ADDITIONAL FALLING STONES.

WE ARE AWAITING AN EVALUATION OF THE COST TO REPAIR THE COLISEUM, UH, FROM THE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND OF COOLEST, UH, THE, UH, LETTER FROM THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER WILL, UH, TELL US WHAT THE CAUSE OF THOSE STONES, UH, FOLLOWING WORK, UH, BOBBY, WHY THEY FAIL THAT'S ESSENTIAL, UH, FOR US TO KNOW, BECAUSE, UH, UNTIL WE KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT, WE DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN.

SO WE EXPECT TO RECEIVE THAT REPORT NO LATER THAN, UM, MONDAY OF NEXT WEEK.

THERE IS A DRAIN PIPE, WHICH HAS A SUNK PUMP INSIDE THE PIPE TO PUMP THE WATER OUT OF THE BUILDING.

IT APPEARS THAT THE SOCK PUMP FAIL AND RETAIN WATER INSIDE THE HARVESTER PIT.

WE HAVE FILED A CLAIM WITH THE, UH, DISTRICT INSURANCE CARRIER TO ASCERTAIN IF THE LOSS IS COVERED BY INSURANCE.

UH, WE HAVE, UH, TAKEN OUT ALL OF THE WATER, UH, FROM THE, UH, ORCHESTRA PIT.
